Job Summary:

Scheduler & Admin Generalist position requires a detailed oriented, multi-tasking, high level communicator who is able to exceed expectations of our customers and partners, ask thorough questions and follow through ensuring Asphalt Associates meets it commitments. During the construction season Asphalt Associates operates 7 days a week/24 hours a day, so the position may require on call availability after hours and weekends that can be completed remotely with the use of an iPad and iPhone.

Requirements

  • Previous construction trades work experience preferred.
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Must have the ability to interact with external and internal customers and partners in a fast pace, multi-tasking environment.
  • Proficiency in using technology; including CRM, Word, Excel, iPhone, iPad and internet.
  • Must be able to work in a hands-on environment of high communication.
  • Must be able to work independently and have a high degree of problem solving skills.

Job Summary:
As a Driver you will perform tasks involving Driving equipment, maintain D.O.T. logs, pick up materials, dispose materials, physical labor on parking lots. Laborers will carry out maintenance work by removing existing deteriorated asphalt, removing vegetation, dirt, sediment and debris, perform catch basin repairs, bollard installation as well as any maintenance project assigned by the foreman or team lead. The Driver will inspect and maintain all equipment and supplies including tires, lights, brakes, gas and oil and completes minor repairs to equipment at the direction of the Foreman or Operations Manager and/or the Team Lead.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) some general construction knowledge and or experience preferred.
  • Class A CDL and current medical card and all DOT requirements
  • Clean driving record
  • Must be physically able to perform general labor duties as assigned to company standards
  • Mechanical & equipment experience is a plus, but not necessary
  • Must have positive attitude, reliable & punctual
  • Must be able to perform both pre-& post inspection
  • Must perform pre-check list of vehicle safety mechanisms, including but not limited to brake lights, signal lights, tire pressure, fluid levels, etc.

The Primary purpose of the role is to operate equipment and perform related construction duties on asphalt (prep/paving/patching/installation/sealcoating) and or concrete (prep/installation) crews at Asphalt Associates.

Requirements

    High School Diploma or GED with previous supervisory and construction experience required.
  • Previous construction experience preferred
  • Demonstrate proficiency and certifications for required equipment to perform role
  • Clean driving record and Class A CDL or ability/willingness to obtain
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must have ability to do basic mathematical calculations around measurement, weights,
    area, circumference and volume
  • Must have ability to interact with external and internal customers and partners in a fast pace, multitasking environment, working independently with a high degree of problem solving
  • Proficiency in use of technology; including iPhone and internet
  • Travel when required throughout the Midwest 
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening

Job Summary: 
The position of Mechanic will be responsible of repairing and maintaining electric, diesel and gasoline industrial trucks and related asphalt equipment for an union shop. This position will report directly to the Shop Supervisor on all aspects of repairs needed for approval.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete work orders on a daily basis and turn in as completed
  • Keep work area and shop cleanliness up to Asphalt Associates standards
  • Collaborate with repair team to diagnose repairs and plan accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Must have own tools to perform all duties required.
  • Knowledge on how to inspect and maintain heavy duty trucks heavy duty trailers, medium to light duty trucks and trailers, small engine equipment, skid steers and their attachments and any other heavy equipment as needed.

  • Job Summary: The primary purpose of the project manager intern role is to plan, direct, coordinate, scope and estimate the completion of projects for Asphalt Associates.  The project manager intern will participate in the conceptual development of a project and oversee its organization, scheduling, implementation so that a project can be completed on time and within budget. Other duties include and not limited to: Evaluating and measuring sites, creating proposals, tracking and participating with client interactions and maintaining the project database.  Project management interns will team with sales and communicate with company management to supervise projects and maintain the integrity of the projects.
    Requirements:

    • Previous construction experience preferred
    • Project management experience preferred
    • Working towards Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred, preferably in construction management
    • Excellent math and geometry skills
    • Knowledgeable in and proven abilities with estimating in a paving, landscaping or construction type environment viewed as a plus
